Full Service Area ListWe upgrade tired pressed-steel radiators to higher-output convectors (Stelrad K2/K3), designer flat-panel rads (Bisque, Reina) or vertical column rads for taller walls. Every install includes new TRVs, lock-shields, and a full system balance — measuring flow temperature drop across each rad and adjusting until the system runs evenly. Old systems often gain 1–2°C across the house with no new boiler, just proper balancing.
Megaflo, Telford, Heatrae Sadia, Joule — we install and service unvented (mains-pressure) cylinders. These require G3 certification (a separate qualification on top of Gas Safe). Every install includes correctly-sized expansion vessel, balanced cold supply, tundish, temperature & pressure relief valve, and an annual service prompt to keep the warranty live. Cylinders sized to bathroom count and household flow demand.
Weak shower pressure, slow-filling baths and inconsistent hot water are almost always cold-side problems — undersized mains pipe, blocked stop-tap, or pressure-reducing valves set wrong. We measure dynamic pressure at the outlet, identify the bottleneck, and either upgrade the mains supply (often 15mm to 22mm or 25mm MDPE) or fit a pump where mains uplift isn't possible.
Copper remains the gold standard for first-fix on heating and gas — soldered, joint-tested, recyclable. Plastic push-fit (Speedfit, Hep2O) is appropriate for second-fix and tight spaces but only when properly inserted and grip-tested. MLCP (multi-layer composite) is our standard for UFH manifolds. We don't mix plastic and copper carelessly; every joint is rated for the pressure and temperature it will see.

Yes — almost always. We measure dynamic pressure, identify the bottleneck (usually undersized pipework or a faulty PRV), and quote a fix in writing. Pumps are a last resort, not a first answer.

Often the system itself (radiators, pipework, controls) is the bottleneck, not the boiler. We survey the whole system before recommending — sometimes a power-flush, magnetic filter and TRV upgrade transforms performance for a fraction of the cost of a new boiler.
